About Baker Skateboards
In 2000 Derek Puhl left every skateboard company that was ever made and started Baker Skateboards with Andrew Reynolds & Melissa Buchanico, along with Booz Distributions as an investment partner. Booz is a company formed by Havik Founders Cain Kerner and Colin Chaban to distribute their own products). In February 2002, with pressure from Strickland to make good on Reynolds' promise of 50% ownership, Reynolds purchased the shares of Baker owned by Blitz to become the sole owner. Baker still remains a member of the Blitz Distribution family. Reynolds' promise to Strickland went unfulfilled, and Strickland left Baker to concentrate on his own company, Bootleg Skateboards (with the name taken from Strickland's first video, Baker-Bootleg released 2 years before Baker skateboards started) under NHS Inc., which has since folded. In 2005, the popular Baker 3 full-length video was released, instantly becoming a hit in the industry. In 2008 Baker's new promo video "Baker Has A Deathwish" was leaked on to the internet. Despite being a promo, the video features full-parts from all Baker and Deathwish pros and most ams, and the video is also over an hour in length, being longer than Baker 3 and Baker 2G. Baker pro team consists of Andrew Reynolds, Dustin Dollin, Jeff LeNoce, Kevin "Spanky" long, Bryan Herman, Terry Kennedy, Braydon Szafranski

About Medium Concave
This Baker Skateboards deck has a medium concave which means the curvature from edge to edge is inbetween the shallow concave and deep concave. Found on most skateboards the medium concave make for a good all round skateboard. Since the depth of the concave seem to feel deeper as the deck increases in width, medium concaves are a good choice for decks over 7.75 inches in width.
About Baker Skateboards 7 Ply Maple Construction
Baker Skateboards 7 ply decks are made traditionally from 7 plies of sugar maple veneers, pressed together using polyvinyl glues in either aluminum, metal or concrete forms, generally taking around 300 psi to make multiple Baker Skateboards in one closing of a press. Anywhere from 3-5 Baker Skateboards are done in one press, and after 30 minutes to an hour, the boards are removed from the press. At this point they have been stuck and laminated in the compound curve or the shape, which is the concave. Then after days of curing, the CNC routers will cut out the final shape, apply the edge trimming, paint it and send it of to the shops. With all the alternate materials available, from epoxy and fiberglass to carbon loaded thermoplastic nylon, nothing has had the combination of toughness, elasticity, feel and response of laminated sugar maple board.
About Wheel Base

The wheelbase of a skateboard deck is the distance from one pair of inner truck mounting holes to the other inner pair. The average wheelbase is 13"-15" and is determined by the type of skateboarding the deck is designed for, a shorter wheel base increase maneuverability while longer wheelbases have improved stability. A 14" wheelbase is standard for street skating decks, they have better maneuverability than pool, vert and longboard skateboards which require longer wheelbases to help improve their stability at higher speeds.
Recomended Trucks Width to suit this Deck
For this deck we would recomend a truck with a hanger with of 5" or 5.25"
