Product Description
A riser pad is a flat pad that is mounted between the truck and the deck. Risers come in different colours and thicknesses. Riser pads help prevent wheel-bite. This is where, when turning, your wheel touches the bottom of your board and gets stopped suddenly. Many skateboarders do not like to use risers, however, because they make the skateboard taller. A taller skateboard is harder to do technical street tricks on, and even the fraction of an inch that a riser pad adds can make a difference. |

About Zero
Zero Skateboards is a skateboard company located in Carlsbad, California.
Zero Skateboards started out as a clothing company in 1996. It evolved into a full fledged skateboard company with Jamie Thomas leaving Toy Machine and becoming Zero's first pro. Zero Skateboards is part of the Black Box Distribution family, along with Mystery Skateboards, $lave Skateboards, and Fallen Footwear. Zero Skateboards is primarily a skateboard deck company with decks designed mainly for modern street skating. They offer their decks in two molds: Shallow Grave and Afterlife, a mid and deep concave respectively. Zero's art direction harkens back to the skateboard graphics of the 1980's, with the skull, blood, and gore themes. Zero Skateboards graphics are most often in simple, bold one or two color graphics on all black decks, although they've also explored other art themes and offered multi-colored graphics from time to time. They also offer wheels under the Zero Wheels brand, as well as bearings and hardware.
